Ms.Lady questioned: My boyfriend and i have been together for about a year. We both claim to be faithful to one a further. But i keep getting BV. When I question my doctor he said I take to many baths and that BV is only establish in women. Also I become dry when we have sex and it causes my boyfriend to get this scab on his penis. We both had a STD screening and we both got (-) results. Can someone tell me what’s going on.

Breezelyn questioned: I have BV & I was on medication. It went away but I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend & the next day it was back. I’m going to get a pap tomorrow but what kind of treatment does he have to go through if he’s the host?

waitn2bmrsjc questioned: I have had persistent bacterial vaginosis after sex with my partner. After being treated with antibiotics, it always comes back after having sex with this partner. I have also had persistent pregnancy loss with this SAME PARTNER !
I have had all kinds of tests done to determine the cause of these late 2nd trimester miscarriages. They are uneplained and seems I am a completely healthy woman. Could the answer be so simple that it’s been overlooked for the past 2 years ? Could the BV be causing the miscarriages ?

mommyof1bbgl questioned: I’m 22 and my husband is 23. He is the only guy I have ever had sex with and I’m the only person he has been with too. I have had a lot of persistent bacterial vaginosis over the past couple of years. But lately I’ve been having some pelvic pain that comes and goes and it also hurts during intercourse, we have been trying to have a baby for 6 months now and nothing is happening, so I’m a small worried I could have PID due to all my bacterial vaginosis infections I’ve had. But my cycles are always regular starting every 28-30 days. What do you reckon is reason I’m not getting pregnant?

Mrs. J. questioned: I have been suffering from persistent bacterial vaginosis for nearly four years now. I have seen four different doctors who have restricted every medication unfilled to handle it. (Metrogel, Flagy, Metronidazole, and something that starts with a T) I no longer douche, I rarely wear underwear, and when I do, they are no-dye, cotton undies. I do not use perfumes, I have stopped using tampons, I use perfume free detergent. My doc even had my husband take Metronidazole. It comes back every month following my period, or after a lot of sexual activity. I no longer feel comfortable working, or being around other people because there is always some kind of odor. Any suggestions?

kycheerchick questioned: I keep getting infections and my gynecologist suggested I get tested for diabetes. I have read this somewhere on the web, but am unable to find the link again. My member of the clergy’s protect and brother has diabetes, and my dad got in at age 45. I am 32. I do eat a lot of sweets, pine for them as soon as I get up, have been feeling sometimes….well, not so much dizzy…I can’t place my finger on the feeling. Nearly as if I’m not really there at the time…like a surreal world-type feeling!! Could I possibly be showing any symptons of forthcoming diabetes? Please help with any info you have! It’s messing with my life!

waitn2bmrsjc questioned: I’ve noticed every time I’ve gotten bacterial vaginosis was after I had unprotected sex with one certain person. I hadn’t had sex with him for a year, we got back together and lo and behold, BV again. Doctors say it’s not a sexually transmitted disease but what is it about his semen (and only his ) that’s causing this ? I know for certain it’s after sexual intercourse without a condom with him. Why is this ?
Yes, but why ? What makes ones semen “unlikable” ?
