but i always find metronidazole does not agree with me at all and i dont really like taking antibiotics anyway. so i bought Clearblue Activgel from the internet. Its a vaginal gel that you insert every night for 7 days and it is meant to restore the vaginas pH to normal and hopefully getting rid of the BV. im nearly finished the course and I have noticed the symptoms seem to have gone. Has anyone else tried this, and do you reckon it is safe not to take the antibiotics???

You should be fine, if the gel seems to be working then thats excellent. But if the BV comes back then you might have to take the antibiodics. Just eat a huge meal with the pills.
If the unpleasant smell has gone and all seems well, then i would believe its worked. All vaginitis is, is the excellent bacteria being washed out your body, usuall it effects women that are to clean or use strong smelling bath products, Lush products are the worse for this.
Its not a serious thing, but if not traeted corectly it could occur again.
I would do a check on the product your using on google, just to read up about it.
How ever you could double check with your doctor to be sure, and they may take a further swab to check its ok.
Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is the name of a affect up in women where the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted and replaced by an overgrowth of certain bacteria. It is sometimes accompanied by discharge, odor, pain, itching, or burning.
If you like natural treatments, that is better than antibiotic treatment.
